This lightweight hood fits all Porsche 924 and 944 models. It boasts an ultra strong foam core and composite multi-layer construction on the outer section or "Hood Skin" which is Vacuum Bagged for superior strength and light weight. Threaded bar stock aluminum is then adhered into the hinge and latch mounts. The inner hood "Stock type" re-in-forced frame is then bonded onto the outer hood skin in a jig. This hood is designed to use the existing hood hinges and latching mechanism and/or hood pins. The average weight is 15 lbs and the original 944 hood weighs 41 lbs.
